There is, however, another reason many Jews rejected Jesus. You cannot understand this without knowing the political climate found in Israel at the time, something not remotely described in the scriptures.

There are certain situations in the scriptures where Jesus seems to refer to himself in such a way that it can be interpreted to mean he saw himself as the Messiah prophesied in Jewish tradition. This is a construct of the gospel writers, who (for the synoptic gospels) had an agenda of describing Jesus in a way that would make him acceptable to specific groups of people. This is out of touch with how Jesus saw himself and described himself.

The Jewish concept of a Messiah is very much a product of the fallen beings. The Messiah is seen as an exception who has godlike powers and therefore will come to save the people by using those powers. Again, the people do not have to do anything, except, of course, follow the Jewish priesthood of the fallen beings. Jesus did everything he could to avoid presenting himself in a way that could make people see him as the Messiah. He directly and openly refuted any attempt to tie him in with the myth of the Messiah.

Now, you might ask why the fallen beings had created the myth of the Messiah. There are several reasons for this. One is that it propagates the illusion that salvation will come in the future. Yet another is that the fallen beings had foreseen that Jesus would take embodiment in Israel. They had therefore attempted to create a myth that would be so different from how Jesus actually portrayed himself that it would prevent the Jews from accepting Jesus.

Again, there is a subtlety here. Jesus was very clear, in his own mind and in his teaching, that his mission was universal, meaning it was meant for all people and not specifically for the Jews. You can see this from the fact of how he associated himself with many people who were outcasts in Jewish society. You can see it from the parable of the good Samaritan and other parables.

Jewish society was extremely elitist and hierarchical, another hallmark of the fallen beings. Any society that allows the division of the people into separate classes, some having privileges and status far beyond others, is a society influenced by the fallen beings. Elitism is their calling card. Jesus always reached out to the groups of people that were looked down upon by the Jewish elite. He also made sure his teaching was not too tied in with the Jewish religion by always speaking in a universal language, using many concepts that went far beyond the Jewish religion and culture.

However, Jesus also knew that part of his mission was to give the Jewish people something that could take them beyond being so controlled by the fallen beings. I have said that Jesus embodied in Israel because it was one of the darkest places on earth. What made it dark was that so many people were so controlled by the fallen beings. The primary means that the fallen beings used for controlling the Jews was the myth that the Jews were god’s chosen people. In a sense this was true. The Jews were the chosen people of the false god created by the fallen beings, but the real God of the Creator has no chosen people, as all are extensions of its own consciousness. The myth of a coming Messiah, naturally tied in with this idea of the Jews being so special that they merited special treatment from god.

When you consider this, you realize that it was an extremely hard blow for the Jews that god’s chosen people could be conquered and ruled by the Romans. By the way, this is a typical example of how one group of fallen beings will defeat another group of fallen beings. Anyway, to the fallen beings ruling Jewish society, it was a major problem that another group of fallen beings had conquered Israel. Part of the problem was to explain how this could happen when god was supposedly on the side of the Jews. However, they could always refer to the past where the Jews had suffered so many humiliations, despite being the chosen people of the most powerful god (like in the story of Job, the exile and so on).

Nevertheless, what had happened at the time was that the myth of the Messiah and the myth of the chosen people had been merged in popular culture. Many people believed that in the near future, a Messiah would come who would act as a warrior king and lead the Jews in a violent uprising that would defeat the Roman Empire. You will see from a purely pragmatic viewpoint that it was utterly impossible for a nation with such a limited population to defeat the might of the entire Roman Empire. Yet if you had grown up in a culture with the myth of how David slew Goliath, you might believe that with god’s help, it was possible for the Jews to throw the Romans out of Israel.

After the fist couple of years, Jesus had done so many unusual things that he had received a reputation of being able to perform supernatural feats. There was a powerful underground resistance movement at the time and they were training and organizing for a violent revolt against the Romans. Naturally, this was not officially sanctioned by the Jewish religious leaders, but in reality Lucifer was the instigator of this movement, although he was not its leader. There came a point where Lucifer had become aware of Jesus, and he sent the leaders of the resistance movement to him in order to ask Jesus to lead their uprising against the Romans.

Based on everything I have explained about our involvement with Lucifer and Satan and how we had eventually transcended all desire to use violence against them, it should be obvious that Jesus never had any intention of participating in a violent uprising of any kind. As Jesus said: “Render unto Caesar that which is Caesar’s and unto God that which is God’s.” The real meaning is that Jesus did not consider the Roman occupation of Israel as having any relevance for his mission. Instead, he had come to show the Jews the one thing that could take them beyond being controlled by the fallen beings, namely an entirely non-violent approach to life. Naturally, getting involved with any kind of violent movement would go against Jesus’ purpose.

Lucifer knew that Jesus would not lead the resistance movement, but the purpose of sending its leaders was not to persuade Jesus. The real purpose was to get all of the people who supported the resistance movement to reject Jesus. Naturally, this worked and as word spread, a majority of the people rejected Jesus and his teaching based on the fact that he had refused to lead the violent revolt against the Romans, thereby proving in their eyes that he was not the promised Messiah. And if Jesus was not the promised Messiah, why should the right-thinking Jews pay any attention to him?

This is the real reason behind the situation where Pontius Pilate gave the crowd the choice between releasing Jesus or Barabbas. Because Jesus had refused to fill the role as Messiah, as warrior king, most Jews would rather see a murderer than the Living Christ released.

By the way, the myth about the Messiah as a super being has worked so well that the Jews to this day reject the teachings of Jesus. Thus, the Jews are as stuck under the yoke of the fallen beings today as they ever were. The story of Moses leading them out of the slavery of Egypt is truly the story of how the representatives of the ascended masters can lead the people out of the slavery under the fallen beings. The Jews accepted Moses, but rejected Jesus, and they will not get free from the fallen beings until they acknowledge this mistake and accept Jesus (not official Christianity) as the next step in their spiritual evolution. The fallen beings will no doubt be removed from this planet in the near future, and the brutal fact is that in their present state of mind, most Jews will have to follow them to wherever they go.

The point being that when Jesus entered the third year of his mission, a majority of the Jews had already rejected him. Yet he still managed to gather greater and greater crowds. Many people came because of the healings he performed, but they still encountered the power of the Spirit and they still heard the teaching given by the ascended masters through Jesus.

You might be wondering why official Christianity does not contain the concept of ascended masters. There are several reasons for this. One is, of course, that language develops over time. The exact words “ascended masters” were not used back then, and the reason for this is subtle, but important. It is very difficult for most people to imagine how the collective consciousness has evolved over time. We often look back at Jesus’ time and think people back then knew almost as much as we did. In reality, we know this is not the case, but we tend to forget this. Even more importantly, we do not understand that people back then had a very different view of the world. We know that they did not see the earth as a round sphere and they did not understand the concept of the solar system that we take for granted. Yet we fail to understand how limited people’s ability was to think in ways we take for granted.

As a simple example, take numbers. It is said in the scriptures that Jesus once spent 40 days fasting in the wilderness. This has caused some people to think that if they also fast for 40 days, they will receive some special spiritual experience or be healed of a disease. Yet, it is life-threatening to fast for that long and Jesus never did so. He did several times go away to be alone for some time, but never for 40 days. So where does the number 40 come from? It came from a Hebrew word that was used to refer to numbers larger than 12. Most people of the time rarely had to count higher than 12, and many people were unable to do so. They could not conceive of an amount larger than 12. Thus, they had a word that referred to numbers larger than 12, and it could be anything from 13 and up. This word was later translated into the exact number 40. Yet at Jesus’ time it was not an exact number. Over time, people’s ability to mentally deal with numbers has increased, and that is why we want everything to be in exact numbers.

Another example is how people today think of the solar system as existing in a three-dimensional space. Back then, most people could not think in three dimensions when it came to anything beyond the visible landscape. They could not conceive of a round planet floating around in a vast, three-dimensional space.

It was not that Jesus deliberately lied or hid something from the public. It was simply that people were not able to grasp what he said. Moses and Elijah were historical figures who had died centuries before Jesus. How could they appear to Jesus?
