The very core of ascended master teaching is that they offer us a gradual, systematic path that can gradually raise us beyond the veil of duality, until we attain full Christhood and can permanently ascend from planet earth. We have, so to speak, passed the final exam in the cosmic educational institution called “Earth.” Let us take a closer look at this path.

Attaining Christhood really means that you attain mastery over your Self. You attain mastery over your mind, which means you can now fully express your co-creative abilities. As explained earlier, we are all extensions of our Creator’s Being, which means we have the same creative abilities as God, jut not the same power. So attaining self-mastery means that we learn to express the co-creative abilities of our minds. We can then take dominion over the material realm and attain the mastery of mind over matter demonstrated by Jesus. We can then fulfill the role for which we were originally designed, namely to be co-creators who serve to create from inside the material world.

The ascended masters teach that planet earth was created by seven ascended beings called the Elohim. The planet was originally created in a much more pure and balanced state than what we see today. There were no natural disasters, lack or resources or diseases. For a long time, self-aware beings took embodiment on earth, attained self-mastery and ascended without going into duality. Yet eventually some of the beings embodying on earth did go into duality, and this has caused the physical environment to become more unbalanced. This has also led to many lifestreams from other planets being allowed to embody here, in order to have more time to overcome duality.

The seven Elohim created the planet by using seven different types of spiritual energy. As mentioned before, Albert Einstein discovered that everything is made from energy of a very high vibration that was lowered into a new frequency spectrum. The masters teach that there are seven types of spiritual energy, generally called the seven spiritual rays, that were used to create the earth.

Attaining mastery of our co-creative abilities means learning to use all seven rays in a balanced manner. This means that for each ray, we can express the basic polarities (expanding-contracting) of the ray in a balanced manner. In the original design, no being had fallen into duality, so each being would gradually learn the positive qualities of each of the rays. This is what the masters have called the “Path of the Seven Veils.”

The reason is that each ray forms a veil that obscures your vision of the underlying oneness of all life. That is why you can start out with a point-like sense of self, in which you cannot directly see your connection to the spiritual realm. As you attain mastery of one ray, your consciousness becomes so attuned to the vibration of that ray, which means you can now “see through” the veil of that ray. You then have an expanded sense of self, which gives you a clearer vision of your connection to something beyond your current sense of self. As you gain mastery of each of the seven rays, you attain a clear vision, and you now see your oneness with your spiritual source and your oneness with all life. This is personal Christhood. You can gradually expand that Christhood, until you attain the full mastery and are able to ascend from the material universe. Thereby, you become an ascended master.

This original path has been somewhat complicate by the fall into duality. The duality consciousness creates perversions of each of the seven rays by taking the qualities of the rays into opposing extremes. Thus, we might say that the veil has become much denser, because you now have to see through the perversions before you can begin to attune your mind to the positive qualities of a given ray. And although this is not an easy process, the ascended masters have given us the teachings and the tools to accomplish this task.
