The purpose of life is your growth in self-awareness. You start out with a point-like sense of self, and your potential is to expand it to the level of a Creator. A self-aware being grows by making choices and then seeing how the Ma-ter light outpictures its choices. In other words, a self-aware being has free will. This means that the being has two basic options:

It can decide to use its co-creative abilities to transcend its current level of consciousness, whereby it also raises the sphere in which it lives. It can choose to grow.

It can refuse to transcend a certain level of consciousness, whereby it must work against the raising of its sphere. It can choose not to grow.

In the first three spheres, all self-aware beings followed the process of expanding their self-awareness, until they were ready to ascend and had brought their sphere to the ascension point. Thus, the sphere and all beings in it ascended at the same time.

The fourth sphere was denser than the previous three, which means it was more difficult for beings to raise their sphere. The density of the energies used to build the sphere also made it seem more convincing that beings could be separated from each other, from their environment and from their source.

The vast majority of the beings in the fourth sphere, did choose to raise their consciousness. Yet when the entire sphere had reached the ascension point, a relatively small number of beings were not ready to ascend. These beings were then given a special opportunity to get ready for the ascension through an accelerated process. However, some of these beings refused to make use of this opportunity.

It then became clear that a new approach had to be taken. It was determined that those beings who were not ready to ascend with the fourth sphere, would be allowed to continue to embody in the next sphere, the fifth sphere. This would mean that they could continue an existence, but it would also mean they would have to be separated from the beings they had known in the fourth sphere.

This caused some of the leaders of these beings to reason, that there was a flaw in the Creator’s plan. They reasoned that since free will opened up the possibility that some beings could be “lost,” it would be better to force beings to ascend with their sphere. This was, of course, a reasoning that denied the very purpose of life, namely a growth in SELF-awareness. This growth can happen only from the inside, namely through a being’s own choices. Growth in self-awareness simply cannot be forced from outside the self.

Nevertheless, the leaders among the non-ascending beings decided to rebel against God and attempt to prove God wrong. They decided to do this by causing as many beings as possible to use their free will to deny growth. Their reasoning was that if they could cause enough beings to go into a downward spiral, the Creator would be forced to abandon growth through free will and instead allow the non-ascending beings to force lifestreams to ascend.

As a result a few leaders caused an even larger number of beings to fall with them into the fifth sphere. These fallen beings did not lose their experience and attainment from the fourth sphere, only their conscious memory. Thus, they were far more sophisticated than the new co-creators that were sent into the fifth sphere. The fallen beings attempted to set themselves up as leaders and get new co-creators to follow them.

The fallen beings were only moderately successful in their scheme, and eventually the fifth sphere was ready to ascend. Again, some of the fallen beings rebelled, and they did manage to pull a certain number of beings with them into the sixth sphere. The sixth sphere was more dense than the fifth, so the fallen beings managed to get a larger number of beings to follow them. Nevertheless, the sixth sphere also came to the ascension point, and some of the fallen beings again rebelled. They then fell into the seventh sphere, which is the one in which we are living.

Our sphere is the most dense yet, which makes it more believable that we are separate beings, separated from each other, from Mother Nature and from God. Yet even so, the fallen beings have not been able to stop the rising of the sphere as a whole. Our entire sphere is in an ascending spiral, although it has not yet reached the ascension point.

The fallen beings only have certain planets upon which matter is still so dense, that the illusion of separation seems believable. Earth is one such planet, which is demonstrated by the fact that matter seems so dense, that one can believe it can exist on its own. On planets with a higher level of development, matter is more transparent, making it directly visible that it is made from spiritual light.

What has happened on earth is that the fallen beings have managed to set themselves up as many of the abusive and dictatorial leaders seen throughout history. People like Joseph Stalin, Adolph Hitler, Mao Tze Tung, Pol Pot and others are among the fallen beings who have chosen to rebel against God. That is why they often act with no concern for human suffering—they do not feel any kinship with human beings. They feel they belong to a special class of beings, who are vastly superior to humans and thus are entitled to hold positions of power, where they can do whatever they want.

​

There is also a class of fallen beings who do not seek to rule through direct, physical power. Instead, they seek to rule through deception by creating false religions, political philosophies or any other forms of deceptive plots. These beings use what the ascended masters call the serpentine mind and the duality consciousness to deceive us into following them or accepting their ideas. And even though the ideas often claim to be working for a higher purpose, even for God’s cause, they instead serve to keep the entire planet locked in an ongoing struggle.

​

This understanding truly can explain all of the atrocities and inhumane actions seen on this planet throughout known history. There are many spiritual people who have chosen to take embodiment at this time in order to assist the ascended masters in raising the planet to a higher level, which among other things means that a certain group of fallen beings must be removed from the earth. However, it is a cosmic law that a fallen being cannot be removed until someone on earth has reached the same level of consciousness as the fallen being had before it fell. And this is one of the things we can do by attaining a higher level of consciousness, what the ascended masters normally call personal Christhood.
